From October 18 to 21, the 2021 "Oracle Cup" "Chinese Characters and I" speech contest for international students was held in Anyang, Henan, China, the hometown of Oracle bones. The contest is hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Anyang Municipal People's Government, the Foreign Affairs Office of Henan Provincial People's Government, Henan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and co-organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai International Studies University, Xi'an International Studies University and other universities.

After the preliminaries, 18 international students from 9 universities in 13 countries including Russia, Germany, Tajikistan and Venezuela entered the finals. Venezuelan player Marycarmen Encinozamartinez and Tajikistan player Ghafurova Mijgonakhon at our university advanced to the finals.
